Rich and poor people alike may never come to own their most precious asset - their minds.
As a young man travelling alone in India I met a holy man in a cave [shrine of Shiva]. As he danced around me I knew instinctively that he owned his state of mindfulness. He placed a garland of fresh flowers around my neck. He put a red dot on my forehead. And he gave me a small coconut which had been an offering to his God. As I left that cave the assembled crowd rushed to surround me as if I was the incarnation of their God - Shiva. I recall the sense of tranquility that prevail within me because it was in such sharp contrast to the energy and noise of the crowd which surrounded my physical being.
Today I live with that same sense of tranquility of mindfulness I found inside that cave [I have recovered what I call my unique state of minimal-you]. However... I sense that many of you have fallen into a pit of fear, despair, and futility. All that means is that you have yet to clear their mind's eye [see photo].
