World War III...

This is three wars in one.

World War III is in progress today; but, this conflict is not what many expected [see photo].

Part one of this war is the economic sanctions being applied to Putin's Russia. These sanctions have been steadily ratcheted-up on oil, gas, commodities, etc and yet each new measure has failed to dilute Putin's power within Russia. Clearly this economic war against Putin has failed to create regime change. But... The EU leadership continues to wage a sanctions-based war against the Kremlin despite the catastrophic impact on its citizens.

Part two of this war is the boots on the ground in Ukraine. The best estimate available is that the Russian military has deployed around 200 to 250,000 soldiers. Today the Russian military is on a pause as the Kremlin begins to recruit [and train] another 200 to 250,000 troops to add to its current force inside Ukraine. This Russian build-up will take most of the Winter months to complete and so the war in Ukraine is set to last at least another 10 months. However... It is clear that a newly bolstered Russian military force will soon take control of all the areas of Ukraine that the Kremlin deems essential to complete this phase of their war.

Part three of this war is the pro-Ukraine media effort that insists this NATO backed conflict is against evil [Putin] and for democracy [Zelensky]. The pro-Ukraine media has clearly won this element/phase of the war to this point. However... Will this triumph hold as the taxpayers within the EU, Britain, America, Germany, etc begin to protest the misuse of public spending on a Ukraine war? Protesters are currently building a wave of public support for their cause [public spending on education, health, infrastructure, etc not on an unwinnable war]. Indeed this Winter in Europe might prove a critical turning point if/when public opinion is able to overwhelm the ideological opinion of those who support the continuation of the Ukraine war.
