Work brings joy to your life...

Newminimalists work to meet their needs.

Work brings people together in a joyful celebration.

People work dirty jobs, clean jobs, exhausting jobs, essential jobs, voluntary jobs, government jobs, corporate jobs, and everything else imaginable. The emphasis in our media is always on the job. But. The joy comes from the work.

Work is what brings people together. Work is what rewards human effort, discipline, focus, imagination, and cooperation. When people cooperate at work the joy comes from being with motivated allies who help to solve problems. The solutions to problems might be big or small but "at the end of a working day" an individual, or a group of individuals, go home with an inner joy that comes from doing what they do best.

If the organisation of work is flexible [see photo] and fluid then the levels of joy that an individual can achieve from his or her efforts rise and rise and rise. The reason for this outcome is primarily the speed of decision-making, information transfer, reconfiguration of talent, output to customer, innovation and change. Cooperative organisation of work has been aided by a multitude of breakthroughs in communications [notably via the Internet since the turn of the Century] and development of 5G and Starlink technology will only serve to enhance this progress.

Talent is unlimited in a cooperative work organisations because those who are incompetent, dictatorial, ideologues, and trap in the past have no place to hide. The truth is that talent seek to reap the joy of work. And the joy of work is best harvested by those who form agile organisational forms that can in 2020 be located in dead Malls or relocated to homes with the flick of a switch. Setup costs are minimal. Running costs are minimal. Yet the productivity of labour can be optimal.

Today, tomorrow, next year, next decade, and thereafter the truth is that work brings you joy.
