Newminimalists make life better for all those around them.
This appears to be "the worst of times" but to me this is "the best of times" [see photo].
For decades I have heard people "shouting" about the need for change. Most of them shouted and shouted and achieved nothing. Well now we have entered a time of actual change. Change to social cohesion. Change to the dominance of the global economy over the needs of the consumer and local production of goods and services. Change to the technologies that have imposed a false sense of being in control of our lives. Change......
The best of times come after a crisis. And this has been a crisis. In many respects it is the crisis that we did not need to have but have had it imposed upon us by a gaggle of incompetent leaders in government, corporate, banking, healthcare, scientific research, etc. The hope is that competent people will now emerge to replace those who led us into an unnecessary lockdown of the global economy [see what happened in Taiwan and Sweden].
These are the best of times for everyone who is up for the type of structural change that is needed to manage a planet with 7.8 Billion people living on it. And of course the more we change the more we stay the same. In this case our sameness will be guided by imagination and expansive ideas rather than mob rule and group think.
Richard.
