Unlimited talent surrounds you....

A new born child has access to unlimited amounts of talent....

If you were a new born today your life may be largely the same as it has been to this point [see photo]. You might live until 2120 but in essence you will live the same life as you are living today. That thought disturbs you right? "Surely that can't be true?"

I realised that it is true when I spoke at my mother's funeral. As I was standing there staring out at the congregation it struck me that my mum was an ordinary person who lived through extraordinary times. She saw so many things that we take for granted today but for her it was happening for the first time [flight, motor vehicles, telephones, etc]. That idea came to me as I spoke about mum. Then an associated idea but a very different one struck me. You see my mum did some ordinary things extraordinarily well. Simple things like taking kids who had never ever seen the ocean for a day on the beach.

The difference between my mum and the folks of her time who invented the means of flight, communications, and personal transport is very subtle. Henry Ford [automobiles], the Wright Bros [a plane], and Edison [telephones] accessed the talent around them that they needed to do history braking inventions. Meanwhile my mum accessed the talent she needed to do the mind-bending events [for the people she helped]. So I suggest that what we do from birth to death depends to a large extent on the talent around us and how we go about accessing this constant store of helping hands, ideas, imagination, energy, and resilience.

If you began your life today what talents would you assemble to convert the extraordinary around you into the ordinary for everyone on this planet and beyond..

I have set-up a free access incubator for you and your friends where you can play with your most diverse, demanding, and sticky ideas. While inside this incubator with a select few friends [I recommend no more than eight] you can create an ideology, confirmation bias, and 'group think' free space. As I say this facility is free for you and your friends. Use it as a start-up space before you go onto create your own physical or online venue. To access this space go to minimal-you.com and click on the button below the heading "the hangout" and then you can get to work curating ideas in ways that make them a social or commercial reality. And. If you have any questions about setting-up your De Bono type incubator feel free to contact me via email or direct messaging [see "ask Richard"].
