Unexpectedly the 2020 issue is culture...

This culture is a fantasy not a reality

The C20th culture is imploding and that is the biggest issue facing the West.

The current state of Western culture is unstable. The current need within Western societies is culture stability. The reason that Western culture is unstable is that it has been cut-and-diced into smaller and smaller fragments by ideologues [right, left, middle, or consensual elites], theologues [new religions based on utopian dreams], and clusters of group thinkers [bounded realities where one think fits all].

The chaos that we are all living through today is in part an illusion, in part a delusion, and in part real. The illusion is that a utopia exists "out there" if only we would join together and march up the hill to reap all its benefits. The delusion is that a "one size fits all outcome in life is possible" if only we would rebel against those have more than you and me. And it is ultimately real because none of us have a "conscious sense" of cultural stability.

All of those issue, real as they are, fade into the background when we consider the fracture of our culture. Perhaps the reason is that culture is context and all those other concerns are content in a world that is shedding its C20th cloth. When we focus on culture we begin to see the content in a different…
