Trust is a huge asset....

In an air balloon trust is required if you are to enjoy your flight [see photo] In life trust is required for you to be content, successful, courageous, and fulfilled.

Trust comes in two parcels. Trust in yourself. Trust in others.

Trust in yourself is earned. You trust yourself to meet your needs. You trust yourself to cull whatever does not help meet your needs [belief sets inherited from parents, teachers, priests, mentors, etc]. You trust yourself to develop habits that help you meet your needs.

Here is a simple test of your levels of trust in yourself. How many times have you fessed up and returned the excess change you received from a cashier. Most of us have taken that money - on some occasion - and the rational explanations we offer for doing so are many. However the fact is you do not trust yourself enough to return what is not yours.

Trust in others is a reciprocal process. Others trust you first. They demonstrate that they trust you in many different ways. Thus the trust you have in others is an infinite gift from them. It is a cycle of trust. They trust you because you trust yourself. Because you trust yourself you do not have trust issues with others. Other people respond to you as a trustworthy person and so they boost your trust in yourself.

Trust is an individual, and a collective, asset that helps you to better meet your needs in life.
