Newminimalists' needs shape their thoughts, habits, and beliefs.
What do you think?
How do you automate your thoughts into habits?
How willing are you to recreate your beliefs?
If you can answer those three questions with true insight and honesty then you will discover your version of minimal-you. At that point you will know what you need and what you no longer want. As you practice living your life based on your needs, more than your wants, you will become what I call a newminimalist.
Newminimalists find themselves in the right place at the right time in history. I suggest you take out a huge blank sheet of paper and some coloured pencils. This sheet of paper is going to reveal what you think about your life. It will record what habits you will practice in the future so that you [and yours] can not only survive these "group think" times but thrive despite them. It will highlight your beliefs as a human being who is living in an era when men and women will soon be headed to Mars to set-up a liveable city.
Once you fill the sheet, with those precious notes on your core needs [see photo], you are prepared for the amazing times that lie ahead for you and yours. Of course if the noise of protest, hate, and violence surrounds you then you may need to make hard decisions about where to live. One thing you will know [for sure and certain] is that you can never do the quality of work you are capable of, nor live the life you seek for yourself or yours, if you are held captive to the "group think", "habits", and "beliefs" of the mob.
