The flight of this Condor in Peru is the symbol for my campaign -"think free and soar".
Think free is easy if, and only if, an individual bases his or her life on needs not wants. But. Increasingly individuals live their life based on other people's wants. These wants are not usually homegrown they are imported from the people one "hangs with". The people one "hangs with" are those who populate Cliques, collectives, ideologies, and theologies. The common theme running through nearly all these entities is "group think"
The truth is that "group think" is the opposite of "think free".
How does "group think" manifest itself in one's day-to-day life? It begins when one thinks that he or she must "go along to get along". In that instant one's ability, capacity, and resolve to "think free" is undermined by the decision to place "us" above "them". The definition of "us" will vary from individual-to-individual but the process of choosing "group think" over "free think" is the same for everyone.
The process of accepting "group think" begins when one focuses on wants not needs. More specifically, when one focuses on "collective wants" not "individual needs".
If one decides to "think free" he or she will focus on individual needs.
Richard.
