Newminimalists usually think different to any "collective other".
These are difficult times for many of us and so it is more important than ever that we develop an ability to "think different".
As you all know 5 years ago I began to prepare for a global depression. I did not know how, or when, this economic depression would hit but I knew that it was coming. So I developed a schema that changed my thinking patterns, habitual behaviours, and core beliefs. I call it Newminimalism and you can find out more about it if you go to minimal-you.com
Newminimalists "think different" to the way they did a year ago. Here is a simple example.
Debt is not what it was in 2019. For example a big mortgage is a deathtrap for someone who has no cashflow. Remember your debt is a lean on your cashflow. Thinking that supported your decision to sign a mortgage document in 2019 were taken in a very different context. Today that thought process would not compute for you and indeed your lender would not being offering it to you today.
The good news is that your lender is "happy" to give you a 3 month holiday on your mortgage repayments. So what to do?
Can you sell the property inside 3 months? Can you rent the property while you have it on the market? Can you sell-off all your extraneous stuff [using eBay should work well in these times when many people are self-isolating at home] to get some cashflow to extend your ability to pay your mortgage for another 3 months after your lender's holiday of 3 months has run its course. By the way you might be able to sell your house online as well. This will give you 6 months to rent, or to sell, your property and relieve you of your debt.
Meanwhile you will need a place to rent. This place will likely be smaller and less fashionable than where you live at present.
That is one simple scenario... I am sure that you can think up even better approaches to the problem posed above. But. Your first step must be to "think different".
