The post-2020 "on-demand" revolution

On-demand change is about to reshape lives...

Historians will likely note 2020 as the year the world shifted from analogue to digital revenue models [see photo]. The prerequisite for this historic event have already been set by Netflix and other streaming services. Services "on-demand" are already proving to be an effective disrupter of long-standing supply line in entertainment, education, self-help, fund raising, political campaigns, social media, culture change, and the rise of AI.

The shift to "on-demand" change is about to have an enormous impact on a jumble of C21st issues. Climate Change advocates are promoting solutions to this universal issue that will likely disappear once "on-demand" revenue models take hold in a post-2020 global economy [because every thing changes in this new economy]. Video games are leading the way towards "on-demand" change as consumers embrace streaming services and become fans of gamers who battle "online" for huge payouts. Video blogs are about to transmogrify into a dynamic disrupter of delivery channels for education, social commentary, training, motivational sessions, facilitated conferences, augmented reality therapy sessions, and so on and so on. It is difficult to predict exactly what will become available to us in the post-2020 economy however it is rather obvious that many services are going to fade away [use Netflix as your guide and note how it demolished Blockbuster Videos and has disrupted movie business in Hollywood]. Meanwhile a post-2020 economy is likely to boost Amazon's global dominance as the definition for investment in infrastructure [5G not just roads] changes.

The "on-demand" economy focusses on individuals not collectives [this will cause huge social change in quick time]. And while the supply chain will continue to be a global entity the revenue models will focus on local demand. Common icons will become irrelevant in a post-2020 economy [most notable are wind farms]. There will be a huge boost in power and wealth to those who create "on-demand" change events, services, politics, social media, etc.
