A lot is said, and written, about change. Having spent most of my life trying to influence change, change agents, and zealot advocates for change I though I might add my voice to the pile.
Here is my "off-the-cuff" contribution to your change conversations.
"Change must be led. It can be top down or bottom up - systems led or people led. Change is rarely understood by anyone until it stops. And it does eventually halt. The notion that change is continuous is not my experience of it. Change tends to occur in fits and starts [mainly in fits of irrational expectations and often starts with a highly rational frustration of incompetence and low-level performances]. Change is elusive. Change is divine. Change is primarily a figment of a restless mind. Change is inevitably ugly if left in the hands of zealots or professional change management teams..."
