The great thing about being a minimalist is that you face real challenges [see photo].
The hot war... The war in Ukraine is just about to begin. Will this war spiral into a nuclear conflict? I do not know but it is possible. I have prepared my mind for this outcome. This outcome is possible because as the Ukraine/Collective West coalition are seen to fail to win this war Washington DC might panic and throw nuclear missiles at Russia.
The cold war... The cold war is based on economic sanctions levied by America and the EU. The aim of these sanctions was to cause regime change because people rebelled against Putin and a definitive implosion of the Russian economy. The opposite has occurred as the power of Putin at home has consolidated and the Russian economy has become more robust not less. The only area of this cold war that Putin and Russia is losing is in the media. The media creates "make believe" narratives that suggest Putin is a weak leader who is huddling in his office with his head between his knees. Further that the Collective West coalition are winning this cold war even though Ukraine economy relies upon a lifeline of billions of dollars pouring in from Britain, America, and the EU.
We all live in a world of "make believe" created and sustained by legacy and social media. But... Once you become a minimalist you can escape this "make believe" world and take on the challenge of living with reality as it is here, there, and everywhere.
