Upside down but free.

Young men must change

Young men are dying in huge numbers in Ukraine, on the streets of major cities, in criminal gangs, and so on. It is obvious, if not clear, that young men [18 to 35 years] must change. Men must forge a new purpose for life. Men must disengage from a social order that infers they are toxic or unnecessary. Men must never succumb to the idea they can be feminists. Men must be prepared to live an upside-down life if they are ever to be free [see photo].

Men must develop a new way of being in the world. Perhaps they can once again make things, invent things, innovate things, and draft plans for houses, office spaces, urban developments, etc. Perhaps they can once again assume the role of leaders who refuse to accept collective rule. Perhaps they can bring back the trust that facilitates "a handshake deal" that will last and does have to be constantly renegotiated.

Men must live as warriors as they stride to become more self-sufficient. Men must be role models for their sons. Men must be decisive in world plagued by bumbling clowns. Men must strive to solve the issues and problems humans will face living on Mars. Men must use language that is direct and purposeful. Men must demand less from others and live a much bigger life than most today. Men must "walk away" from the politics of division and derision. Men must support their brothers. Men must be brutal and gentle. Men must select a sexual partner who is willing to share their way of life [good luck with that one].

Young men must get their act together because we need them to save us.

Richard.
