The hummingbird is a minimalist....

The hummingbird focuses on needs.

What this hummingbird does everyday is impossible.

What is possible today is being constrained, restricted, regulated, and limited. The hummingbird is not aware of all this so he just does what is impossible everyday [see photo].

The hummingbird does not flap his wings to stay steady and stable in the air. Instead this bird with the iridescent colour and the long bill uses his short wings to rotate in a figure eight motion. This action with his wings creates the pleasant humming that gives this bird its name. How does all this work? I do not know but it does and it works well for this bird.

Minimalists must act like hummingbirds. They must find ways to meet their needs that are not conventional, normal, traditional, or similar to what the collective does everyday. This does not mean that minimalists or hummingbirds can not form a group. It is just that when they do form a group it is based on trust, cooperation, and individual needs not on collective wants. Perhaps this is why the group name for hummingbirds is a charm.

Like the hummingbird the minimalists must be inventive, innovative, and different in their individualistic approach to group activities.
