The people who got us to this current future are the people who believe in "more of the same" [see photo]. These people are doing the work behind the slogan "build back better". This is the slogan for The Green New Deal and all the companies and political associations that believe the future is now. These people have a simple answer to the question "what's next": they will tell you that we are heading towards "more of the same".
"More of the same" is a future that is led by a loosely formed global elite and supported by technologies that work best for collectives [networks best serve collectives, teams, coalitions of interest, etc.] The flow of information [including digital money] is a feature of "what's next". Information centres have replace what use to be "workplaces". Information access is a real source of power for those who are not constrained by laws, social norm, etc. Thus the business and social models that support the mantra "build back better" is a network with centralised power in the hands of a few for "the greater good" of the many.
"What is next" for me is more freedom and release from the oppressive systems that delivers "more of the same". What this means to me is that I must pay attention to this moment. I must shape my present to better suit me. And what will likely be best for me is to keep my needs to a minimum [thus I have created my unique version of minimal-you]. This means I continue to shuck-off the collective wants that motivate the politicians, companies, associations, communities, etc who intend to "build back better" a future that is now.
Richard.
