Some of the most successful businesses today [Amazon, Google, Facebook, Apple, etc] are a case study in the use of AI brains. Of course, when we think of a brain we often have an image of human organ. But... The AI brain is not that: it is a 'software entity' [a rational set of decision algorithms].
Today... AI brains are a huge asset for global business processes that run on big data sets. The benefit we all gain from the speed of processing, levels of efficiency, and stunning effectiveness of AI brains is obvious. Our lives are greatly enhanced by products, services, and delivery systems that depend upon AI brains. Of course, most importantly, none of us want to go back to 'the bad old days' of human brain-driven systems.
The challenge ahead is to build business processes that rely more, and more, on human minds not on AI brains. What is the difference between these two approaches to business. AI brains are automating the 'value added' processes [think mass assembly lines] of C20th model businesses [cost reductions will result]. Human minds will expand by designing new 'use value' business models [think video gaming] that are tailored to consumers' needs rather than wants.
