The art of archery on social media....



In realms of social media the bow is context and the arrow is content [see photo].


Recently the bow has changed shape, balance, power, reach, and accuracy due to new technology. The long-tail bow is LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, websites, etc. The cutting edge bow is apps such as Tik Toc, Instagram, Snapchat, Google Play, SHAREit, etc. Then there are hybrid bows like GaryVee, Joe Rogan, Making Sense with Sam Harris, etc.


Many content providers - including me - struggle to find the right bow for their highly crafted arrows. Some attempt to launch arrows made for Tik Toc with a Twitter bow. Others bring arrows to Facebook that really are a much better fit for GaryVee. The truth it seems is that social media works best if an archer brings his or her arrow to the right bow.


Amazing content without context is mush. A brilliant arrow without a bow is litter.
