Newminimalists know talent when they see it.
Talent is like a crouching tiger that is ready to devour complex problems. Today we see clusters of talent at SpaceX, Huawei, Stanford, Hong Kong, Ericsson, and so on. Not surprisingly, perhaps, these humans form "clusters of talent" because they need each other to meet the challenges they set for themselves. These talent clusters are the gift that keeps on giving to planet Earth. Indeed it these talent clusters that are solving all our big issues that will likely extend beyond this generation and beyond the boundaries of Earth.
This talent pool is growing today because the young people of our times are gifted with minds, skills, discipline, character, commitment, integrity, and humility. Clearly this talent pool is expanding at a rapid rate; and yet it remains minuscule in a population of 7.8 Billion. So the challenge ahead of the human race is to identify talent and then to allow it to get on with the task of solving the most complex and pressing problems facing humanity. For example. A pressing mundane problem is the issue of energy because life on Earth depends on it. Equally we must address the metaphysical problem of inculcating the expansive human mind that will embrace an inter-planetary system within our solar region. In the pursuit of rational solutions to both those problems we need the help of all the talent available to us through the next two generations.
Just to add a little mundane context to this riff I should refer to "what is not talent". What is not talent is an individual, or a cluster of humans, who suffer the ill effects of hubris. It is these aloof types who form the haystack of life in 2020. Meanwhile talent [or clusters of talent] is the metaphorically needle in that haystack. Finding that needle is a chore for all who seek quality solutions to private and public sector issues [see photo].
