The British Election result is as expected. A huge victory to those who seek to move on from the failed politics of C20th. The key among all those failures is the Globalisation Project which includes the United Nations, debt-backed currencies, centralised power in national capitals, fanatical promotion of over-hyped global issues [carbon-free economics], legislation that enabled the accrual of wealth and power to a consensual global elite, and funding of "wasteful global projects" like the consolidation of the European Union. The nightmare of globalisation is not over yet but it is fading as a new dawn beckons and a post-2020 era is about to emerge [see photo].
Turmoil and change is guaranteed over the next 10 years. The greatest changes will occur in the sphere of work and workers. Organisations will be renewed with creativity, imagination, flexibility, competence, and local roots that are deep not shallow. The rise of AI-based systems will demolish the remaining tenets of C20th labour-intensive mass production. Cheaper goods and services that have superior quality, better user interfaces, more closed-looped business environments [think Apple not Microsoft], and higher wages for every employee. Gradually the size of government will shrink as less and less labour is needed to run any new governing system. Equally the internal governance of businesses will be dramatically reduced, or outsourced, completely [think HR and Corporate Marketing].
The new dawn beckons and it will bring "goodness and light" into the darkest alcoves of the failed Global Project.
