Stuck in slow lane of change...

Stuck in the bottleneck of change.

You hear about all the change going on in the world. You may even have come to fear the pace of change. In response to those fears you try to inform yourself about all these changes. You go to high-priced conferences, seminars in halls and online, and you use Google to show you where all this change is actually happening. You have caught the bug and you are prepared to change at nano-second speeds but on the way home reality sets in as you once again battle the congestion left-over from an earlier dose of change [see photo].

Your life is stuck in the bottlenecks caused by the last bout of change. The rapid change narratives so eloquently expressed by experts, commentators, politicians, influencers, and the bosses at work are fantasies because they do not and will not impact you. The impact on others maybe real - who can say? That impact may bring positive or negative benefits or costs to them but those outcomes do not occur in your lane.

The only thing any one of us really needs to know today is how to get out of the slow lane. How do we avoid the bottlenecks caused by past programs of change. Why do we continue to stay stuck in the slow lane of life?

Richard
