Social...

Social evolution?

Social evolution has stalled in 2021 because we are analogue creatures living in a digital landscape [see photo]. Analogue systems facilitate individual independence because social interactions are cooperative. Digital systems facilitate collective mandates because social interactions are collaborative.

Let me try to explain what I see happening to the communities that human use to evolve. Until the beginning of this Century the community was a tangible element whereas today it is an intangible feature [option] of life at home and at work. The move from analogue to digital support systems has regressed social evolution because the virtual community is so easy to control, manipulate, and dominate. The stark reality today is that small numbers of people who are committed to the same ideology [expanding government control], theology [build back better], mythology [create your own examples], etc can dominate populations. There is a ubiquitous feature to digital social networks that can not be matched by any analogue counterpart. Group think is easily spread to millions of people through a corporate media that is aligned with those who seek to "build back better" the old analogue world via the proliferation of new digital technologies [eg mobile devices connected to 5G towers].

Social evolution was built on trust [in God and the Bible or Mohammad and the Quran] in the analogue version of human existence. Social evolution today is being built upon hard-and-fast rules [laws enacted by governments or judicial processes] within the digital version of human existence. In the analogue version the individual and the family created the centre of the community. In the digital version the collective and the government-corporate-media complex is the crux of a networked community. The old analogue community began with the family, extended through the religious affiliations, and rested on the shoulders of each and every participant. The new digital community begins with your sign-in to a social network, extends through the ideological affiliations, and rests on the "group think" engendered within the collective or cluster that eventually traps you.

My mind as a minimalist is developed on a unique sense of what I call minimal-you which, in turn, is based on individual needs not collective wants. For instruction on how to establish your sense of you: go to minimal-you.com and hit the "become a minimalist" button in the banner heading. This will take you to a payment scheme for a 10 day programme that will teach you how to design, enforce, and live with mind filters: these help you to be the best person you can be.
