Newminmalists are not the same from day to day.
I created the notion of Newminimalism to counter the modern cult of "sameness"[see photo].
But. Let me be clear that "sameness" is not equal to the absence of difference. Indeed "sameness" exist because most people in a cult tend to ignore, or do not see, the difference that is present in their environment. In fact those who perpetuate "sameness" tend to treat any signal of difference as "noise" and so they shut it out.
For around 10 years I searched for a way to explain to myself what it was that drove "sameness" into the world of my familial, colleagues, and friends. Early on I realised that collectives craved "sameness" but knowing that fact did not help me. I needed a way to describe the propensity of modern populations to think the same way, to do the same things, and to believe in the same truths.
Eventually. I stumbled upon my simple truth and so it established the first principles of Newminimalism. My first principles are as follows. Choose individual needs over collective wants. Create habits that support your individual needs. Recreate your beliefs until they provide you with meta-level insights into your individual needs and habits.
