Rip-off the 2019 band-aids....

Newminimalists have already ripped-off the 2019 bandages from their lives.

Rip it off.

It is time to rip-off the 2019 band-aids [see photo]. None of us like the pain this will inflict on us but there are times in our lives when we must take a deep breath and just do it. Of course this is a metaphor.

Easter Monday, 13th April, 2020 is a time for rebirth not just for Christians. You now find yourself in a unique situation; perhaps, this is for the first time in your life. It is difficult to over dramatise this moment as you find yourself living inside a cocoon of "social distancing" that has been imposed upon you. And. It is far from clear what challenges will be "out there" when you eventually shed the constraints of your current cocoon.

But. One thing is sure and certain: you must emerge as a 2020 butterfly not as a 2019 grub.

The most positive action you can take right now is to rip-off the 2019 band-aids that ensure you will remain who you were before you were cocooned. If you do not rip-off these band-aids you will never transmogrify into a 2020 butterfly.

Some examples of 2019 band-aids:

- a job that is not directly attached to a revenue stream

- a life style funded with borrowings not free cashflow

- the"social meme" that defines you as a worker

- hubris that forces you to cling to a 2019 world view

- old habits that are not a match for new challenges

- belief that your 2019 revenue streams will simply bounce back.

You will have your own list of band-aids. But whatever these are it is time to rip them off.
