Remarkably we live in a world where "reality" [what is happening] is in open competition with "fantasy" [utopian dreaming] in a struggle for control of our mindsets.
The "reality"is Ukraine [economy, infrastructure, army, moral, etc] has been devastated by the war against Russia. However, the global media keeps telling us that"Putin is losing the war and thus his power base inside Russia is crumbling". If this fits with your version of "reality" then you may well be living inside an insane cult. This is a "networked cult" and it ultimately distorts your ability/capacity to make empirically based decisions.
The "fantasy" is the western collective can dismantle life as we have known it. This will be achieved [in part] by replacing fossil fuels with carbon-zero energy sources. Replancing free-thinking individuals with group-thinking collectives. Replacing free speech with one think. Replacing nation-state currencies [fiat money] with digital information [social credits, DEI, ESG, etc] and moving onto an authoritarian/totalitarian global system.
Once your mindset is captured by a "fantasy future" as offered by the collective west then what is real can be reframed by what is make believe. At this moment the battle between "reality" and "fantasy" becomes a mute point as we are pitched into a vortex of illusion and delusion not unlike what Alice grappled with as she moved through wonderland [see photo].
For those who believe in the "fantasy" promoted/promulgated by the collective west likely see this outcome as Utopian. Meanwhile, those who are experiencing the grinding "reality" of our times see this outcome as Dystopian.
Wherever you sit on the dial between Utopian dreams and Dystopian nightmares - the unavoidable truth is you are caught up in a modern battle between "reality" and "fantasy".
Richard.
