I have spent the last five years living inside my head as I wrote two books and now continue to edit the words therein [see photo]. For the best part of the last eighteen months here in Prague the lockdowns have seen me live essentially as an isolate. This means I continue to live inside my head; and in turn, this means I alway have a distorted version of reality.
Today [9th June 2021] life in Prague is open again so I must adjust to a new reality. Clearly, there is no return to what was real in 2018 because that was a time and space when we did not know about, nor contemplate, the impact on us from the Covid-19 virus. Nor did we imagine the real impact that a totalitarian rule would have on us all as the economic and social lockdowns became a global feature of life on this planet.
Five years ago I took to writing science fiction, and fantasy stories, because I could no longer take the boredom that accompanied the success of globalisation. It was the sameness that drove me insane. It empowered a dank, listless, and empty space to transform our minds. It invited our minds to shed the vitality, spunk, variety that enriched our thinking, dreams, and sense of hope. We all invited the goths in and they proceeded to stomp on our civility, social codes, and transparency. These morons took up a baseball bat and repeatedly beat - to a pulp - our individual sense of freedom, energy, and divine sprint.
I recall a short period in my life when reality looked much the same as it does today. It was in the winter of 1989 when I was an honoured guest at a conference in Leningrad [St Petersburg] that I felt like I was living inside a black-and-white movie. Inside the conference the people were amazing and so I had a great time with my new friends. Outside the venue [a luxurious Scandinavian ship] the city was a barren, desolate, and forsaken place with empty shops and pockets of drunks standing idly around open fires as they lifted their precious Vodka bottles to their lips. Adding to this was the wind-chill factor which drove the temperatures down to what were unbearable levels of cold for me. The only saving grace was that the people held a vivid sense of their own reality inside their heads which, for them, made the whole thing more tolerable but hardly more bearable.
Individuals can be a godsend to a world that has been set up for an epic failure. It is the collective [the mob] who are destroying our world and they will continue along this path because they cling to the mirage, illusion, or delusion that their Utopia is a version of reality that is sustainable. Thus we all need you to be, or to become, an individual who remains disconnect from this Utopian mindset; we need you to work hard to make a little bit of our world real for the rest of us. This reality may only exist inside your head right now; but, the fact that you have it might be enough to spark a new age of human evolution on this planet.
Richard.
The mind of a minimalist is developed on a unique sense of you which, in turn, is based on individual needs not collective wants. For instruction on how to establish your sense of you: go to minimal-you.com and hit the "become a minimalist" button in the banner heading. This will take you to a payment scheme for a 10 day programme that will teach you how to design, enforce, and live with mind filters: these help you to be the best person you can be.
