Post-2020 big brands will thrive or die...

WhatsApp can thrive as a Post-2020

Popular brands are about to enter a vortex of turbulence and disruption. Thriving brands will be those attached to a process [WhatsApp - see photo]. Dying brands will be those attached to content [Google].

Let's first look at the "amazing list" of dying brands in a post-2020 world. Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, GaryVee, YouTube, TikTok, London Real, New York Times, Yahoo, Instagram, Impact Theory, Whole Foods, MSNBC, FOX, CNN, and so on.

The old maxim "content is King" is dead [or at least it is dying]. The revenue model that links content to marketing, advertising, and sales is dead [or at least it is dying]. Thus many well known global brand are crumbling today. In the post-2020 world they will begin to implode and leave no trace as did Blockbuster Videos, Wang Computers, Thomas Cook Travel, etc.

Let's now look at the "amazing list" of thriving brands in a post-2020 world. WhatsApp, Deep Mind [Google 2.0], Amazon, ApplePay, Skype, Tony Robbins, Grant Cardone, Netflix, HBO, MacDonalds, and many more that are not yet on our radar.

The post-2020 world mantra is "on-demand processing is King". The revenue models linked to post-2020 brands will be inventive, innovative, dynamic, and micro-scale. These brands will be a process in themselves as they become memes used in mundane conversations rather than banners, logos, and names on buildings, T-shirts, coffee cups, etc. These memes will become viral brands that gain recognition on the trust and reputation of the "on demand" processes that support them.

Welcome to the post-2020 world of disruption, turmoil, opportunity, wealth creation, power devolution, and much more.

Richard
