Newminimalists are open for business all year round.... ha, ha, ha....
We are all living through historic times wherever we are at present. Some of you, like me, are living in a place that has history recorded in every street on your block. For some of you folks, like me, your surrounds remind you of historic times in the past and that life goes on [see photo]. This time in history is being etched into the memories of all of us today. And many questions run through our minds as we live in these times of uncertainty, ambiguity, and confusion. However the real question is what future history are you going to make for yourself as the world around you switches to being "open for business" next week.
Some places will not open. Other places will be open but will not be the same as they were before the shutdown. Other places will be open for business but in a new way. However many will seem to be different to you than they did before because "you have changed". Your reaction to this new sense of yourself and your surroundings is what is vital for your future. If you are not excited by what you see then take a day or so to adjust to this "new abnormal". And once you finally make that adjustment you will see business opportunities that. perhaps, you did not see before. However that will make no difference to your life unless, or until, you adjust your risk profiles. To really embrace the "new abnormal" you must be willing to take risks at a time when those around you are broadly being risk averse.
OK. So I am now will to advise clients who need someone to check their business strategy as they expand into the new post-2020 economy. Please contact me via minimal-you.com
Here is an example of the type of business strategies I believe you should be considering. Focus in tight on your payment systems. Ask customers to pay in advance. Ask suppliers to bill you immediately. Pay those bills right now not later. This will remedy the lags in cashflow that may have been hard-baked into your business model. Reduce your offerings. Focus here on quality not quantity. Raise the price of these top quality offerings. That is a risk but it is one you must take. Contract your business to its core. And so and so on .......

Strategy is a set of viable ideas that are being beta-tested or are already proving successful.
