One world, one culture - belt and road...

China is exporting a mono-culture to the world.

China has a plan to export its culture to the world through the one belt, one road initiative [see photo]. It is marketed as an infrastructure project but along the belt and road comes China's mono-culture.

The economic growth that is promised by China with one belt, one road is amazing. This is potentially a great economic initiative for millions of the youth in all countries that welcome the one belt, one road vision. But. Will these locals benefit from the one world, one culture initiative that comes with the ports, city scape, and tourism delivered by one belt, one road.

One belt, one road is a top down economic development for China that is bold. But there is no real scope for bottom-up inputs from local investors so it is surely not sustainable. And. The real achilles heal of China's plans to export this mono-culture comes from within it. Within this culture is embedded the seeds of its own failure. China has no true respect for maintenance, servicing, or up-keep of assets. It is all too obvious on the mainland that people do not maintain what they have. What is new turns old quickly. The facade of modernism peels aways in a matter of years not over Centuries because the build is cheap and "much needed" maintenance is extremely expensive. But the problem is this mono-culture has no real capacity to maintain, or service, whatever one has.

The original Silk Road grew because it was needed. The needs of traders were in sync with the needs of the locals who lived and worked along the old Silk Road. However. The new one belt, one road [sea routes] is based on the collective wants of China not on the needs of the locals who will live along these routes. The price of land, goods, services, travel, and accommodation along the new one belt, one road are rising and push beyond the means of most local residents. The outcome is likely private luxury for some and public squalor for all. We see this outcome being played out in San Francisco [SF] and it is not yet part of the one belt, one road revolution. However. SF has been captured by the one world, one culture mantra as it surrenders the needs of individuals to the wants of the collective elite.

The one world, one culture program being pushed by the Elite in China, and elsewhere, is progressing well and if it succeeds then we can expect the world to become a mono-culture by the end of the C21st.

While inside this incubator with a select few friends [I recommend no more than eight] you can create an ideology, confirmation bias, and 'group think' free space. As I say this facility is free for you and your friends. Use it as a start-up space before you go onto create your own physical or online venue. To access this space go to minimal-you.com and click on the button below the heading "the hangout" and then you can get to work curating ideas in ways that make them a social or commercial reality. And. If you have any questions about setting-up your De Bono type incubator feel free to contact me via email or direct messaging [see "ask Richard"].
