As a minimalist I affirm individual needs above, and beyond, collective wants here, there, and everywhere - that includes the global workplace. Thus I am starting a movement to replace the collective wants of Climate Change, diversity-equity-inclusion, and gender neutral bathrooms in the workplace with nudity [see photo].
I was prompted to do this, just two minutes ago, while on the LinkedIn website where the survey question of the day [perhaps the next millennium?] was what folks should wear when they go back to work post Covid-19. At first, I found the question insulting, degrading, trivial, disrespectful, etc but after one second of deep-dive consideration I came up with this reply.
I strongly recommend that people who think this is a valid question should choose nudity for their dress code in the workplace. At least that way the sane among us can see what it is that these folks truly bring to work. I know that none of them will do that unless we make it a "one-think" imperative for them... so... I hereby launch a"nudity at work" campaign to settle the issue of what to wear in 2021.
Unfortunately.... I will not be able to join my own campaign because, as all who have worked with me or against me over the years can attest, I bring nothing of note to any workplace... Ha, ha, ha....
Richard.
The mind of a minimalist is developed on a unique sense of you which, in turn, is based on individual needs not collective wants. For instruction on how to establish your sense of you: go to minimal-you.com and hit the "become a minimalist" button in the banner heading. This will take you to a payment scheme for a 10 day programme that will teach you how to design, enforce, and live with mind filters: these help you to be the best person you can be.
