Minimalism is a "secret garden"...

Minimalism is defined by need not by want.

I love the notion of a "secret garden" [see photo]. For all intent and purpose: minimalism is a mind-space, or a physical-space, wherein you can become the most expansive version of yourself. It is a "secret garden" where you can experiment with thoughts, habits, and beliefs.

But be warned this "secret garden" is being invaded by "Ideologues, Cliques, and Zealots" who carry with them a personal, or a collective, agenda. Such folks would be welcomed guests in my "secret garden" if they were not so wedded to their "confirmation biases". They use minimalism [free thoughts, actions, and beliefs] to advance a self-centred agenda. They contradict the core principle of minimalism which is to be driven by needs not wants.

Minimalism comes to you with no agenda. It allows you to create your own "secret garden" [I call this "minimal-you"] where you are free to develop your sense of self without the distraction, and noise, promoted by some highly-motivated zealots. Zealots are religious beings whose thoughts, and actions, seek the approval of others. True minimalists are incapable of being zealots because they live a purpose-driven life for themselves.

If you wish to explore your hidden potential as a minimalist I invite you to my "secret garden" which is located on the Internet @ minimal-you.com

Richard.
