Leaders are no always popular....

Perhaps the main reason I discovered my unique version of 'minimal-you' is I have spent time with great leaders. They were all different and they all led different industries and endeavours. However these artists, scientists, educators, public servants, and politicians all became leaders through a similar process. First, they were all disciplined. Discipline is the common touchstone for great leaders. Some worked hard some did not. Some were humble some were not. Some had natural talent some did not. Some were generous some were not. Some had great charisma some did not. But. All showed great disciplined in the ways they lived their lives. Second, they were all disruptive. These people disrupted traditions, thinking patterns, and ways of being. Most were deviants in some aspects of their lives. They lived with the truth as easily as they sipped on a beer or a glass of wine. Third, they were all courageous. None were outwardly brave: indeed, many were shy and retiring folk. But. To a man and a woman they demonstrated the courage needed to right a wrong or to hide their fear in the face of the mob. How does one spot a leader? Simple. Note the quality of the people they 'hang with'. Richard
