I took a ten year old to the original Disneyland in Anaheim, California, in the midst of winter. This plan worked a treat because there were very few people around and most of the rides provided walk-up entry. The ride he craved was called "A journey into inner space" and it took us deep into the realms of knowing about a human being. On the third, fourth, or fifth time through this portal into a truly weird, and wonderful, mind-space I gleaned the obvious - knowing who you are is rare [see photo].
Around ten years ago I began a journey into the inner space that is me. I sought to glean some knowing about who I had been, who I am, and who I might become. This led me to discover what I refer to as minimal-you. It is a state of knowing that has three basic elements - thoughts, habits, and beliefs. The common thread is that each element is the preserve of the individual not of the collective.
Knowing might be your saviour - your get of jail card - in this world of pervasive tyranny. When you explore the depth of knowing you may discover the evil that lurks within you; you might stumble upon your version of an innocent child; you may unleash the essence of who you are, and you may reveal the minimal needs you covet.
Richard.
My mind as a minimalist is developed on a unique sense of what I call minimal-you which, in turn, is based on individual needs not collective wants. For instruction on how to establish your sense of you: go to minimal-you.com and hit the "become a minimalist" button in the banner heading. This will take you to a payment scheme for a 10 day programme that will teach you how to design, enforce, and live with mind filters: these help you to be the best person you can be.
