Would you pay $US5 million to run a 30 second Super Bowl advertisement based on your LinkedIn CV? In other words - how good is your LinkedIn CV at catching the mind's eye of those who may want to hire you? Does it have a theme? Does it tell a story? Does it invite the viewer to speculate about your 'use value' to them and to their customers? Good advertisements catch your eye [see photo] - they deposit a good feeling in your mind's eye. What is eye-catching about your LinkedIn CV? What pulsating images does it leave with the person who reviews it? What can you do to improve it without turning it into mush? Is there too much fluff in your advertisement? What is your LinkedIn CV selling? Is it an ad for a person, a set of skills, a human robot, a track-record of mediocrity, or what exactly? My LinkedIn CV is an ad for minimal-you. Minimal-you is a state of being that few people will ever know but those who can find it feel special. It is also a promotion for personal incubators. These are used to create [and curate] ideas that eventually deliver 'use value' to the market. Some ideas will be offered free while others will be priced to best fit the customer's needs. Richard.
