If you look at the photo you can see what an exploding or exploding culture. The exploding culture is coming towards you. The imploding culture is receding from you. In practical terms this means that you live in a culture that embraces you [exploding towards you] or a culture that isolates you [imploding as it moves away from you].
Culture can be described as "the ways we do things around here". If the "way we do things" is based tightly on values then it will never become an exploding experience. If the "ways we do things" is tightly based on needs then it will never become an imploding experience.
Is your workplace culture exploding or imploding? If you think it is imploding then you need to leave. If you think it is exploding you must ensure that it matches your needs.
If you want to beta-test the fit of your workplace culture to your core needs then here are three touch points for you to consider - transparency, equity, and accountability. Is the culture transparent, translucent, or opaque? Is the way your talent is being used equitable? Is the way you work based on measures that make you more [or less] accountable?
Richard.
