Complexity is a given for most of the 7.7 billion alive today. And. Here is the surprise. Most people struggle to cope with the complexity they experience in many aspects of life. Folks are often overwhelmed by the content that floods into their heads each and every day. In response they deploy an array of contingency plans for handling this huge overload of content. In essence these folks rely on "what if" thinking to extricate themselves from an unrelenting deluge of complex content.
But.....
No one will ever combat complexity with simple tactical ploys [such as contingency thinking and planning]. Ashby's law tells me that complexity is only quelled by matching it with 'requisite variety'. Thus those who have a surplus mind capacity supported by a requisite variety of thinking inside their head do not notice the complexity of our modern lives.
One way to get the requisite variety you will need to match the complexity you encounter each and every day is to upgrade your mind software. Personally, I run the Tardis version of minimal-you software inside my head. And. You are welcome to do the same.
