The greatest crisis facing the world is NOT climate change it is Group think [see photo]. Sure climate change is an important issue however it is one that can be fixed with key changes in public policy. For example, build more nuclear power stations, stop government subsidies to renewables, decentralise banks to boost investment in small business productivity, dissemble the totalitarian regulation of business and education, etc.
However none of those public policy measures address the real crisis spreading around the world which is Group think. Group think is based in thoughts, habits, and beliefs. Thoughts are the same as those held by the mob. Habits are based on behaviours of "sameness" not "difference". Beliefs are rooted in urban myths and ideologies that stir mob-based rage about almost everything.
But you can escape the jaws of Group think if you are careful and disciplined about your use of words, images, narratives, etc. For example, you can choose to use the word cooperation instead of the word collaboration. Every time you hear, read, or use the word collaboration you take it as a cue to check the underlying message being sent and received. Invariably the embedded message when you use the word collaboration is Group think and sameness. In stark contrast the core message embedded when you use the world cooperation is trust because that is what is needed to sustain independent thought, action, and belief.
