Fire the old you if it has become hooked on "fear mongering".
Propagating fear has become a massive global endeavour that fuels concerns about environments, war, finance, work, fairness, mores, and so on. We all grew up with a background of "fear mongering" but in 2019 this type of activity peaked at levels we have never experienced before. The old you [circa 2019] absorbed "fear memes" like a sponge - these fear-viruses came from friends, social networks, news mediums, politicians, media stars, etc and were implanted into your head without resistance. Is it any wonder that more and more of us turn to alcohol, weed, hard drugs, etc to relive the nagging injury from depression, misery, and a numbing sense of failure?
This sense of personal failure comes to you because the "fear mongers" offer no viable solutions to the problems they rant and rave about and they have no antidote for your pain.
Hire a new you in 2020 who can swim alone until it finds other happy souls to bond with. If you recall that old version of you [circa 2019] swam with fishes that were frozen by fear [see photo] and thus they were incapable of surviving and thriving in an "on demand" world.
