We live in "tribal" times when everyone is committed to believe what is comes from their reality and no other interpretation can be countenanced [see photo]. Evidence of this syndrome is commonplace today. Woke people who run Washington believe they have isolated Russia through sanctions and a pro-Ukraine stance in foreign affairs. That is what "is" for these people. However... Russia has strengthened its ties with China and Iran based on their needs for export earnings and political alliances. But ... What truly unites these regimes is their vigorous rejection of "wokeness" through their support of family life. If you look at the world through a lens manufactured in Washington DC then you can only ever see is what "is" for the woke.
Wokeness can be explained best as a movement that seeks to replace the traditional family [mores, values, character traits, etc] with government [mandates, rules, collectives, sanctions individualism, etc]. China is a communist society that is based on the traditional family: perhaps, that is why the CCP is setting up a new version of systemic dominance [social credits, etc].
What "is" for woke nations [USA, Britain, Australia, etc] is government control of energy, information, media, etc and what "is not" is freedom for family units [individuals, deviants, rogues, etc]. The woke movement is dependent upon having a docile population that is no longer attached to traditional family values. Therefore what "is" today seems to be two models of totalitarian rule: one led by the woke movement and the other led by the CCP.
What "is" and what "is not" has become an illusion for some and a delusion for others.
