Dumb people rule the world in 2020......

Newminimalists are not dumb.

The dumb preach dumbness on a daily basis.

The smart people of the world are on strike in 2020*. This leaves the dumb people in charge [see photo]. You can join them if you dumb yourself down to a level that you can swallow the mantra of the 2020 ruling mob. "Its the process stupid" is a rough approximation of what you need to learn. The process is king. If you get the process right then you will gain status, wealth, and power.

The process is to "hang with" the connected folks. For instance, while you are at Harvard it is more important to be popular than to learn stuff. Indeed it is more important to inculcate the thoughts, habits, and beliefs of the collective than to demonstrate individual brilliance. The smart people at Harvard often leave before they graduate so they can get on with their lives. These folks have better things to do than to "hang out" with angry, arrogant, and ignorant social justice warriors.

In the post-2020 social and economic world the smartest people on Earth will build an alternative universe. It will be local, connected, flexible, and expansive. It will replicate itself in local hubs around the globe. These hubs will be placed in low tax jurisdictions. Remember the high tax jurisdictions are where the dumb folks rule. Furthermore, these hubs will easily extend their sphere of influence to human settlements on the Moon, Mars, and beyond.

Dumb people stick together and that is why they rule us today. But. Life after "rule by the dumbest people on the planet" is on its way over the next decade and I trust that you will become an integral part of the movement that makes it happen.

Richard.

* Years ago I was working with an organisation as a hired gun or consultant. I had the pleasure to meet Tony. He was sharp, smart, and highly productive and he was working in an organisation that was "known" to have some of the most talented people in the nation. Tony always came to work early. He finished his daily workload, on average, by around 10am. He had two rules that kept him sane: he did not attend time-wasting meetings and he did not do "make work". Thus he had most of his day available to work on his charity activities and the beginning stages of his own start-up business. He was being paid well as a middle level staff member and that was the real reason he continued to show up at work. Indeed he was such a valuable talent that he was often offered promotions but he refused them all because he could not agree to spend his working days with the idiots who created most of the problems that he was asked to find solutions to or to create work-arounds for. Tony quit his job to launch his own business.
