Mental obesity is the topic explored in a TEDx talk by David Ryan Polgar. See https://lnkd.in/gDHPAYF
David is fun to listen BUT the issues he raises are real and not so much fun for those who are mentally obese. The girl in the photo below is most likely not suffering from mental obesity. She is pictured here simply enjoying the gifts available to her in her environment. She is not pictured listening to the gifts available to her in her digital environment. Each sphere in her environment provides her with great 'use value' if, and only if, she is able to bring each and every element into a meaningful context.
Over the past 10 years, I have worked hard to eliminate the mental obesity from my mental capacities. I use a filter - much like you might use a fitness food diet - to keep my mind as fit as possible. Currently, I use Tardis [version 2.0] minimal-you software and I am pleased to say it is working just fine. Of course I am working on a replacement and it will be truly mind-blowing - I call it Icy Blue - because it enters into the creative mind-space of dreams, mantras, beliefs, etc.
Meanwhile. You may be mentally obese. The issue is what mind filter are you using to get mind fit again.
