The obvious answer is "yes"....
Let me explore the case for "yes". The proposition here is that you are in control of the narrative - this scenario implies that your life is yours to shape and fashion. If this is so then why is your chosen narrative mostly a dark fantasy [see photo]? Why do so many of us prefer the narrative of the victim to that of the hero? Why do we change our narrative when we move house or form new friends? Why is it so important that the narrative we create fits seamlessly with the 'group think' that surrounds us? Why do the words you use to describe your life tend to conform to the rules of the prevailing Clique, sub-culture, strictures, mental models, and homogeneity? Why do you limit your potential to fit the 'self-talk' you run 24/7 in your mind? But.... Perhaps the real answer is "no". The "no" answer is real for you unless, or until, you can find your minimal-you. Find out what you need rather than what you want. Find out what habits you value. Find out what beliefs actually define you. Richard
