Disinformation fuels social media...

Social media thrives on disinformation.

The rules outlined in the novel 1984 are ever present in your workplace, home, and local community today [see photo]. Why is 1984 our modern global model? In part, at least, it is because social media has become ubiquitous. Social media attracts those with a penchant for propagating disinformation. Disinformation such as Zelensky is a hero who is leading a democracy to victory over the evil despot known as Putin. Sure Putin is a despot as far as I can discern. Putin will not lose the war in Ukraine unless, or until, NATO puts boots on the ground because this move could lead to a nuclear conflict.

The Climate Change conversation is full of disinformation because woke bureaucrats insist that fossil fuels are evil and renewal sources of energy are virtuous. However.. It is clear to many of us that nuclear power offers us viable answers to many of the questions raised about our transition to non-polluting energy sources. What I just wrote will certainly be deemed to be pure disinformation by the woke generation whose roots reach back to the anti-nuclear movement led by Petra Kelly back in the mid-1970s. Petra was a strikingly attractive and charismatic person who was driven by a family tragedy associated with nuclear radiation. Petra's commitment to the anti-nuclear cause is well shepherded by the woke generation who are now the self appointed arbiters of what is information and what is disinformation.

Social media is full of disinformation because those who oppose freedom of thoughts, habits, and beliefs are the loudest voices on this medium. We know where the propagation of disinformation will lead us because our destiny has been well described in the novels 1984, Brave New World, and Atlas Shrugged. Most of the features of the world as described in those three novels are apparent today. Social media is full of disinformation and that fact frames a world that is run by those who are willing to lie, cheat, and promote incompetence because they are selfish, self-centred, and tend to be isolates. Most effective purveyors of disinformation are zealots and it is difficult to ward off the destructive impact of such social activists. Clearly we are in deep deep trouble because we have let these "disinformation zealots" gain power over all of us.
