Discipline....

My drug of choice is DISCIPLINE not COFFEE [see photo].

In fact, mustering the discipline to not drink coffee in the morning is a good first step towards your future success.

The key to success is discipline. Discipline as an individual. Discipline as a team. Discipline as business. Discipline as a service provider. Discipline as a public sector entity.

Being a disciplined individual is hard work. Indeed it is the "hard work" that is needed if you are to be successful. Take a look around you today and you will see that those who are doing the hard work needed to be disciplined are also the ones who are successful.

However. Your effort to be disciplined needs a context. The context is different for each individual - that is the real secret to success.

Three basic components shape your context for life. The three are wants, habits, and beliefs.

If you want coffee first thing in the mornings - fine. You will establish and maintain a habit that ensures you rely on coffee to get you started each day. You will also curate a set of beliefs about yourself and your life that never challenges either your want for coffee or your habit of drinking a cup of coffee as your first act every morning. This way of living is achieved through the hard work of discipline. If this works well for you then you will be a success.
