Centralisation is a complex process and therefore demands high-caliber people and systems [see photo]. If the core of this system is not "best of breed" then it becomes a sludge pit of entropy. The hubris culture spreads among the people in command - take your pick of examples around the globe. These high-tech structures are stretched beyond their design limits and relied upon beyond their use-by-date. Ultimately the combined effect of those two syndromes is a slow and stumbling decline.
When centralisation-powdered regimes begin to fail there if no easy fix. It is usual for the power brokers [at the centre of such a demise] to throw money at the problem. However it is difficult to fix a structural problem with a sudden influx of people, new technology, and open ended budgets directed towards fundamental change. The common result is a fragmented schema of "work arounds". And yet the persistent use of "work arounds" is the first sign that a cure is on the way. That cure comes with recurring prescriptions of decentralisation.
When you hear the term "globalisation" I urge you to immediately think "centralisation". The "globalisation project" is being run by a corrupt cabal. This is always the case because "corruption" is the juice that keeps any highly centralised system running. First signs of this corruption effect comes when key players cut corners or simply ignore the rules that they know constipate their systems. Such rules are uniformly applied because a centralised system seeks to impose simplicity wherever complexity is required. The problem is that complexity is managed via a judicious use of variety, flexibility, and systemic innovation.
Centralisation is a growing feature of life today. In many respects centralisation is a great system when it is used to deliver shelter, health, food, and economic independence to 7.5 billion people on this planet. Indeed the success of centralisation is self-evident if, and when, we reflect back upon the progress made over the past 100 years in most regions of the world. However the inadequacies of centralisation are also obvious when we examine the combined impacts of governments, media, and corporations while dealing with the Covid-19 virus or the real threat of Climate Change. Our centralisation regimes have responded to both issues with a similar narrative "zero tolerance of Covid-19 cases" and "net zero carbon emissions". Thus the strategic response to both problems is "lockdowns". Lockdown people in their homes to stop them from commingling with their families and communities. And the response to the real Climate Change threat is to lockdown carbon in situ. The same strategic intent is being applied to the eradication of a virus and fossil fuels. In a sense we are being cast as serfs within the ongoing production of a tyrannical ideocracy.
One think is the term I use to describe this moronic version of centralisation. When one think becomes entrenched in a social culture, a government or commercial entity, or a community it is a crime against the common good if any individual fails to comply with the mantra, narrative, and prevailing ideology. This is life for most people alive today because they have succumbed to the brilliant messaging around safety. The universal message says that you are safe if you look, think, act, and believe as we [the ideologues in charge] do. In other words you can not have the safety of a Zebra in a herd unless, or until, you wear the very same stripes as the rest of the mob. The "greater good" is served when all of us have the Zebra stripes as designed, defined, and described by the tyrannical cabal that runs our society.
Australia has become the poster child for "collective rule" in 2021. Do not drink a beer, or a cocktail, while outside at a pop-up bar unless you consume it through your mask [this is the inane warning delivered by a power drunk Premier of Victoria to all his serfs]. Why would any sensible human go along with such an insane dictate? Why did Victorians elect this man to lead their community? Why do Australians continue to embrace the ideologues who are in charge of Victoria, NSW, WA, and other States across their nation? Why is the Prime Minister of Australia such a wimp? The answer to all those and a host of similar questions seems to be that individual Australians believe that "to be safe" from the lethal impact of Covid-19 [or Climate Change] he or she must dutifully comply with the insane dictates of their ideocracy.

My mind as a minimalist is developed on a unique sense of what I call minimal-you which, in turn, is based on individual needs not collective wants. For instruction on how to establish your sense of you: go to minimal-you.com and hit the "become a minimalist" button in the banner heading. This will take you to a payment scheme for a 10 day programme that will teach you how to design, enforce, and live with mind filters: these help you to be the best person you can be.
