At the core of minimalism is a human being.
At the core of humanity is a community. This community is like any tribe: it has rules, taboos, mythologies, and hubris. Today communities are highly influenced by social media as they adopt the meme, or talisman, that is projected into to their midst through conformity. The thinking inside these communes is the direct result of inputs from others which are filtered through a trademarked set of values, morals, and virtues. The habits inside these bounded collectives are driven by well established themes on empathy, altruism, and social change. The belief sets that power these networks are opaque, ill-formed, or infused with hubris.
At his or her core: a minimalist is a human [see photo]. He has needs. He has aspirations. He has stories to tell. He has lesson to learn. He has humility to find. He has familial to care for.
