Abstract...

Life is abstract.

I have a way to make the best of my life in these unstable times. I say unstable because I do not affirm the biggest fears that many people seem willing to harbour when it comes to Climate, social justice, size of government, loss of rational thought, etc.

I am a devout minimalist and as such I have three first principle elements that shape my life - thoughts, habits, and beliefs. Each of those is an abstract concept [see photo] thus my life is a vague entity that can be interpreted in many different ways to suit my current needs. At present there are no limits to my sense of what my life can be and shall become before I die.

There are many rubrics that we are urged to follow in our search for a better life. Umpteen rules are prescribed in books for eating, sleeping, shagging, parenting, earning, spending, etc. There are many many talisman tokens that one can hold onto as he or she pursues life in the fast lane and yet none is more popular than the abstract notion of "live your passion". There is variant upon variant of an ideology that can guide your belief sets too in ways that ensure you have more empathy, and demonstrate more generosity, than others.

However, none of this nonsense is worth a hill of beans if you do not have an abstract sense of your own life that extends beyond the limits described and prescribed by the mob.

Richard.

The mind of a minimalist is developed on a unique sense of you which, in turn, is based on individual needs not collective wants. For instruction on how to establish your sense of you: go to minimal-you.com and hit the "become a minimalist" button in the banner heading. This will take you to a payment scheme for a 10 day programme that will teach you how to design, enforce, and live with mind filters: these help you to be the best person you can be.
