Minimalists create their "cocoon of happiness" based on individual needs.
We live in a world that is increasing defined by "the collective" rather than by "the individual" and so moments of personal bliss are rare.
Perhaps this is the reason that we live in a modern dystopia. A dystopian world that is based on "one think" and "group think" that emanates from the collective. For difference we rely upon independent thinkers who find new ways to create their own moments of bliss [see photo].
Minimalists are independent thinkers who live with the consequences of their needs-based decisions about all aspects of life. In many respects these people live in a cocoon of happiness because they largely ignore the collective wants that has led the world to decades of sameness. This sameness of thought goes uncontested and indeed it is often deemed to be incontestable. To have a mantra, theme, meme, or narrative that the collective adopts as a consensus is to relinquish one's sense of personal identity.
Minimal-you is the engine that generates almost all your self-made moments of bliss.
Richard.
