When we face the "new" we always expect it to be better, bring better times, make each of us better in some ways [see photo]. In 2021 the "new" is none of that - this "new" is about contempt for you and me. This "new" is diversity-equity-inclusion, government subsidies, transformation of institutions, cancel culture, tribal wars, etc. and it is focused on groups, collectives, or tribes not individuals.
In 2021 the standout feature of the "new" is the contempt that its purveyors have for the "old". This is unnerving for me because there is much about the "old" that I cherish and seek to see continue. However those who push the "new" at me are not of my kind and yet they are for the moment the power-brokers.
All you might need to know about the "new" is that a person, Joe Biden, who has never had a job now sits behind the big desk in The Oval Office in The White House. That is some special kind of "new"..... So the question for me is "what is the purpose, or usefulness of this type of new?".
Richard.
Minimal-you.com is the place to go if you seek to protect yourself as best you can from the ravages of the likely re-allocation of effort away from the private sector and into the public sector. Equity [equality of outcomes] may be achieved for all those who are not minimalists. Diversity based on skin tone might be achieved and inclusion based on ideological tribal beliefs could be achieved for all except the minimalists. The minimalist will remain "a culture of one" in a world where tribal rituals multiply and ultimately lead people into wars.
